What do I need to use Pomelu?
A Hermes Agent gateway that you run, and an iPhone or an Android phone. Pomelu has no agent of its own and no Royan server. The Hermes Agent installation guide tells you how to set up a gateway.
How do I connect to my gateway?
Enter your gateway's URL in the app and sign in with your gateway's password or token. The app then talks only to that address. It keeps the password or token in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore.
Pomelu cannot reach my gateway. What do I check?
- Make sure that the gateway runs, and that the phone can reach its URL.
- On an iPhone, allow Local Network access for Pomelu if the gateway is on your local network.
- Plain http works, for example on a home network or over Tailscale. The app warns you that such traffic is not encrypted.
How do I get replies while the app is in the background?
Allow notifications for Pomelu. On Android, also turn on Stay connected: it keeps the connection to your gateway open, and replies arrive as notifications.
Is Pomelu from Nous Research?
No. Pomelu is an unofficial app published by Royan AB. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nous Research. For questions about Hermes Agent itself, see the Hermes Agent documentation.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app: this removes your gateway URL, settings and sign-in token from the phone. Royan AB holds no data about you. Chats and files on your gateway are deleted on your gateway. The privacy policy has the details.
When is Pomelu in the App Store and Google Play?
Pomelu is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
